Once again, it’s time for another Presidential Election. And somehow the third with Trump. After blowing my prediction that Trump would lose in 2016, I stopped believing the polls and didn’t make a prediction in 2020, even though Biden was WAY up.
Today, the polls are as close to 50/50 as they get, so it really could go either way. It seems like Harris has the advantage right now, colloquially after Trump November-surprised himself, but really it could go either way, will probably come down to a few thousand votes, and will be litigated for weeks or months.
I mean they are CLOSE. RealClearPolitics has Harris up by 0.1 points.
Nate Silver, who also bombed the 2016 prediction, but says he has really fixed his models this time, has run 80,000 simulations that say Harris will win, but only by 0.030%. That’s WAY too close for either side to make a projection.
I know we say this every election, but this one REALLY is important. If Trump gets back in, this may well be the last election we get, so let’s make it count!
