For the first time in the last two months I’ve experienced a few days in a row where things seem a little better. I have managed to push my ex-wife and her daughter out of my mind for much of the days and nights.

Thanks to the yard sale, Craigslist and eBay, finances are getting stable enough that I can pay the bills and stay in the house for another month or two and the mortgage company is finally working on my loan modification approval. Work is pretty easy and we have a company picnic on Thursday, which will be fun. Fall television is starting tonight which will help keep my mind off of things.

Now… where’d I put that other shoe?
