NOTE: This entry was part of a blog I wrote called “Jesse 2.0” from 2010-2011. 

If you’re around my age you probably remember that game. The goal was to get from the bottom left to the top left of the gameboard, but some spaces held chutes, and some ladders, which could set you back or push you forward a little or a lot.

So it was kind of a setback to hear from my ex-wife again, because of taxes, I know her life, ██ ██ █████████ is tougher now, and I really wish I could help her, but realistically I know that she wouldn’t take any help I could give.

Chute. This brought back the need to know that my former family are O.K., that they are doing as well as they can, but I trust they are. I want them to know that I’ve turned my life around now, and I could bring so much positivity back to them. But deep in my heart I know that once my ex-wife makes up her mind, she never looks back, so I must move on.

And besides, I got my hair cut today by a beautiful woman with pink hair. She had a boyfriend, but just knowing that women who are that stunning are out there, counts as a “ladder.”
